Travis Spratt
began singing with his family, the Spratt Family Gospel Singers, when he was
a young boy and continued to sing throughout his teenage years. After graduation from
high school, he had the privilege to travel throughout the United States and Canada while
touring with three different ensembles. In 1997 Travis was one of six national finalists
in the True Value/Jimmy Dean Country Showdown held at Universal Studios in Orlando,
Florida. A year later he recorded his first project in Nashville, TN, entitled "Just a
Little Bridge to Cross," which not only produced five top ten songs in Christian Country
music, but allowed him to work with some of the finest musicians in Nashville. In 1999 he
was nominated for New Artist of the Year by the Christian Country Music Association and
performed during their awards show on the stage of the historic Ryman Auditorium in
Nashville, TN. He is currently the Minister of Music at the Nelsonville Assembly of God
Church in Nelsonville, MO and a rural carrier for the United States Postal Service. As a
member of the Spratt Family Jubilee, Travis is Master of Ceremonies and sings lead and
background vocals.
Wendy (Spratt) Plunkett has been singing for various audiences since the age of three. Like
her other family members in the group, she brings much of her experience from years of
singing and playing piano in her home church where she is currently active in both the
praise team and the choir. She resides with her husband Jason and three children Randi Lee, Reed,
and Ragar on their family farm in Philadelphia, MO. Always a crowd pleaser, Wendy sings lead
and backup vocals for the Spratt Family Jubilee.
Peggy (Spratt) Shuck has
been singing and playing the keyboard for much of her life. Her musical beginnings are
intertwined with the little country church that she attends to this day. As an original
member of the Spratt Family Gospel Singers, she had the privilege of opening up gospel
concerts for groups such as the legendary "Cathedral Quartet". Audiences will find this
gifted performer playing keyboard, acoustic guitar, or singing lead and back-up vocals for
the Spratt Family Jubilee. Peggy has been with the United States Postal Service for the past
28 years and she has three sons: Travis, Ryan, and Shane. She's also the proud grandparent
of Olivia Shae and Mason Timothy.
Jessie Spratt is in her
second season as a performer for the Spratt Family Theater. She’s no stranger to the stage
growing up in the Spratt Family and the daughter of Peggy’s brother Greg, who was also an
original member of the Spratt Family Gospel Singers. Audiences will truly love Jessie’s sweet
spirit, strong unique vocals, and hilarious rendition of Edith Bunker. Jessie’s currently a
graphic design major at John Wood Community College in Quincy, IL.
Taylor Spratt is the
second newest member to the Spratt Family Theater. She’s also grown up singing in church,
most recently while sharing her beautiful voice within the Nelsonville Gospel Choir. An
accomplished student, athlete, and vocalist, Taylor attends the University of Missouri in
Columbia and plans to further her education while doing something she truly loves to do...perform.
Veteran performer Steve Cox
from Pittsfield, IL brings more than thirty years of performance experience to the Spratt Family
Theater including many successful years with the highly entertaining and former "Gong Show"
winners "Two for the Show". Steve’s unique gifts and great sense of humor will provide many
smiles and laughs for those who visit the theater.
